This site provides both FOUO and commercially licensed geospatial foundation level data within the secure Geospatial Information Infrastructure (GII) Platform to support homeland security and homeland defense missions. All users must abide by the access and use constraints which can be found here. Data is available both as downloadable shapefiles and geospatial web services/APIs. The Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD) Subcommittee was established in 2002 to address improvements in collection, processing, sharing and protection of National geospatial information across multiple levels of government in order to help provide a common foundation for data visualization and analysis.
